How Do You Eat Your Peanuts?

Peanuts: A great source of protein with a wonderful taste. When I first started dieting, peanuts were on my list of acceptable snack foods. However, I found this was a difficult snack to eat. I would eat the 22 peanuts that were a serving and would still be very hungry. After some thought, I realized that the problem was that those 22 peanuts were a handful that I would wolf down quickly. The problem was that I was eating too fast. So, I decided I needed to reexamine how I ate peanuts. I discovered that the same amount would be more filling if I bought the peanuts in the shell. The work to shell them took time, which caused me to eat slower. As a result, it took longer to eat them, which allowed me to be filled from the snack.

So, find a way to slow down your eating habits, so the food has time to settle. You will eat less, and feel better.
